Prepaid carrier Virgin Mobile will be introducing a Novatel MiFi router next week, the company told us after the device appeared at a Best Buy summer preview event this morning.Virgin Mobile's MiFi, like the models available for Sprint and Verizon Wireless, is a slim little router that turns 3G signal into a Wi-Fi hotspot for up to five devices.Since this is Virgin Mobile, this MiFi will be entirely prepaid - $149 for the device, and then anywhere from $10 for 100 MB to $60 for 5 GB. When you need more data, you can re-up. (Virgin has a full chart of their data rates on their Web site.) Activation is simple and there are no activation fees; you can top up your account with credit or debit cards, or Virgin Mobile top-up cards bought at local retailers.

Another day, another run-in with the law for T.I. According to TMZ, he and his wife Tiny were arrested early this morning for alleged possession of a controlled substance. TMZ has learned they were arrested tonight and booked for the alleged possession of a controlled substance. Law enforcement sources tell us L.A. County Sheriff’s deputies pulled over the multi-platinum selling rapper and his wife in a Maybach on Sunset Boulevard around 10:30PM. Deputies say they smelled marijuana, and after searching the vehicle they arrested T.I. and Tameka.

Today they have announced that they have two finalist who will give public presentations next week on their lottery proposals.Northstar Lottery Group, which is a partnership between GTECH and Scientific Games, as well as Camelot Illinois are the two finalists bidding for the lucrative state contract to run the lottery. The winner will be chosen in a public hearing, in which Governor Pat Quinn will announce the selection and award the winner a 10-year contract.
